The Hill
It's the perfect day
For wasting time away
Can you tell me a place that you would rather be?
Listen to the music
Find meaning in a song
Settle in the hill
Feel the warmth in a chill
Do you know of a time that you can call your own?
Who is calling for you?
Stay here in my arms
No need to worry
On life's triviality
Put it aside
Let's go for a rideResting from the flight
Water flowing out of sight
Open doors to a world of possibilities
Life is how you live it
Keep an open mindNew Orleans Maracatu
Have you felt the new rhythm
Taking over the land
Ya know the doctor is cookin'
Up some beats for his band
To invent a tradition
Throwin' out the old charts
Stay in front of the bass drum
And we'll tear you apartDrink the old as you eat the new
New Orleans Maracatu
Take all night to play this through
New Orleans Maracatu
If you're ready to give in
Let the music take hold
Have a dose of this rhythm
And you may never grow old
Well the pavement is cracking
From exuberant feet
If the tempo goes higher
We're gonna need a new street
Hear the rumble creeping up on you
New Orleans Maracatu
When the break hits you'll know what to do
New Orleans MaracatuDrink to the old as you eat up the new
New Orleans Maracatu
Take all night just to play this through
Drink your glass or spill it on your shoes
Go tell Harry to get off his stool
Make some noise if you know what's good for you
Cajun music on Brazilian grooves
Neptune's
Song
Late at night on the dock of a summer home I was melting by the
lake
Waves of rhythm made inviting bait
Caught alone by the water I wade and I wonder how long you should
take
On the simple things the weather brings
Fluid night, sway along
Soak the night, Neptune's song
There's a time in your
life when you want to be focused on pure nothingness
Ripple with the tide, a thought can hide
Half asleep yet a dream took me to a place drenched in motion,
flowing breaks
Spirit rearranged, forever changed
Do Tell Me
Do tell me a story
About our hero's glory
The newscast in primetime
What sells is fear and more crime
(Yes, here at channel 59 it's all news, all the time. Spinning the drama of the day into an entertaining program for the whole family. We'll have the latest breaking stories from Operation: Hidden Agenda in a moment. But first, here's Hillary at the mall.)
True burden, the spotlight
And who will say you're not right
Our culture, in madness
To want for more but give less
(Consumer spending is down for the third month in a row; the economy perhaps weakened by the uncertainty of future earnings projections. Yes, be sure to get out there and spend, spend, spend this holiday season. Because we can't grow as a nation unless we consume more and we produce more.)
(With the war in full swing, the President's popularity is at an all-time high. With 52% in favor of the war, 48% are opposed. There is, however, a 5% margin of error and several segments of the population are not well represented. ...er ...uh ...ahem.)
(There's been another shooting today in a school. Two 13 year old boys apparently were listening to rock music and found their father's handgun. Local NRA member beleives that we need more guns to solve the problem. "Well I'm jest sayin' if all the kids had guns someone wudda taken those buggers down sooner".)
(In other news, Operation: U.S. Way of Life is gaining momentum in the Soviet Union, while Operation: The U.S. is The Good Guy is meeting some resistance in the Middle East. Operation: The U.S. is O.K. is proceeding as expected in Israel, while Operation: Blind Intentions goes on here at home...)
Closed windows, trapped sunlight
A backwards look at foresight
Be wary the plot line
Your fears are fueled by the slime
Having Fun
See me walking down the street alone
Yeah I'm dancing to a beat of my own
Red lights are flashing and I go
Undo the wrong you'll never know
Here we've found a timely place
to rest
Did you know it was all part of the test?
Track you down until I get it right
Channels will be filling deep tonight
